Search

0

tadx search uses Tableau native content search for nonempty content terms. Admin and Pulse use dedicated live adapters. --cache is local-only.

Resource lists

0

Resource lists use bounded live reads by default. Explicit --all collects the matching inventory and renders it in memory, with best-effort cache persistence. Filtered collections save observations; only complete unfiltered collections replace the resource scope. --cache is local-only.

Pull operations

0

Pull commands retrieve from Tableau and write managed artifacts by default. Pulls do not expose --preview.

Remote mutations

0

The effective policy comes from tadx mutation set, with TADX_ENABLE_MUTATIONS as an environment override. Check it with tadx mutation status. Supported mutations run when enabled; --preview remains read-only where available.

GATEDPREVIEW WHERE SUPPORTED
Catalog is Tableau metadata. Cache is local state. tadx catalog lists and inspects upstream databases, tables, and columns; updates descriptions and tags; and audits metadata coverage. Datasource inspection includes upstream dependencies, while schema inspection exposes field metadata and requested descriptions. tadx catalog label manages label attachments; tadx admin label-value and tadx admin label-category manage shared definitions. The former local catalog commands now live under tadx cache, with --cache for supported local-only reads.
